Sign the Prop 195 Petition Tomorrow

Tomorrow is the last day to sign the petition for Proposition 195!

Our area (SD35) is behind on the number of signatures needed for this to be on the ballot.

There is a person at Safeway in Walsenburg collecting signatures.

This proposition reduces our tax rate, changing from a predetermined percent for all to a sliding scale based on income.  The proposed rates give most citizens a tax break and only increase taxes on income over $300,000.  It will also bring in more revenue.
