And here is the update from the Colorado Democratic Party on Friday.

Dems,

We’re 4 days out. This is the final weekend, and it’s the most important one of the cycle. We expect a huge turnout spike between now and Tuesday. Team, I can’t stress this enough: this weekend’s work will show up in the returns reported Monday.

Summary: Democrats are ahead in returns, and our edge has grown again, to more than 92,000. But nearly 3.3 million Coloradans still haven’t voted, many of them in our battlegrounds. That tells us exactly where to put our resources, and we’re adjusting to make sure every hour of effort has maximum impact across the ballot.

There’s no sense in trying to predict anything. Like I said the other day: we aren’t in the business of predicting elections. We’re in the business of winning them. Control what you can, let go of what you can’t, and ESPECIALLY ignore late polls!

Where we stand (as of Oct 30):

• Democrats have returned 408,991 ballots to Republicans’ 316,477, an edge of about 92,500, up from 72,800 on Monday. The margins in our battlegrounds are much tighter.

• Our return rate is ahead, 37.0% to 32.1%.

• What I’m watching:

  • Republicans are returning ballots fast. They’re closing the gap in pace, even as our lead grows. Nothing is locked in. 

  • Young Dems and unaffiliated voters tend to surge at the end, which presents us a great opportunity to seal the deal with these voters during our work this weekend. We're ensuring our efforts are tailored to these voters.

  • Unaffiliated and other voters have returned 562,746 ballots. Our close races will be won in conversations with them this weekend.

• Nearly 30% of registered voters have returned a ballot. There is still lots of work to do.
