Millions pouring into Colorado election
Millions in untraceable conservative money is flooding into Colorado to oppose tax-related ballot measures supported by Democrats that raise funds for schools, families, and healthcare.
Most of the money is targeted at Amendment 87, which would impose a graduated income tax rate on businesses and individuals, increasing the tax burden on those earning more than about $500,000 to generate an estimated $2 billion in its first year.
They are also targeting Proposition NN, which helps restore funding to our schools.
Because Colorado is one of only a few states that allow grassroots initiatives, they have spearheaded the effort to flood our ballots with a bevy of unnecisary and punitive measures, using a Colorado citizen as a "straw man" to sponsor their efforts.
It would cost them less to just give money to these causes and Colorado families. Why is it a better investment to spend so much AGAINST these reforms. Read the article to get more details about who these outside organizations are and who is supporting them in our state.
