Greetings, fellow Democrats! 

Santa Fe Trail Days is this weekend in Trinidad!

Las Animas Dems have a big weekend planned!

GENERAL INFO

They will have a booth at Santa Fe Trail Days. They have 4 booth spaces with swag, candidate literature, issue information, Workers Protection Act info, the Initiative 195 Petition, and candidate meet and greet areas. 

They have 4 spaces reserved and are located halfway down Modica Drive, across from the Porta-Potties.  They will see everyone coming and going! LOL! 

PARKING.  

Primary parking for the event is in the lot behind the MarketPlace and there is a shuttle service that will drop people off at the top of Modica Drive at Church Street, by INBank and on Animas Street.  There is no other accessible accommodations that are offered by the City.

A WORD ABOUT SUNDAY. . .

Las Animas Dems had planned to attend the event at Ludlow on Sunday instead of participating in Santa Fe Trail Days.  The City has indicated it is mandatory for all vendors to participate all three days and they are concerned that the empty spaces will create a "bad look" on Sunday.  In support of the City, the Las Animas Dems will have a smaller setup.  Pam Espinosa, the Chair of the Las Animas Dems will be speaking at Ludlow about the Workers Protection Act. Many other LAC Dems and candidates attend Ludlow, in order to connect with Labor and secure endorsements for November. 

LUDLOW

All are invited to attend the Ludlow event to honor those who lost their lives fighting for Labor.  We attend to show our support for UMWA and Labor and to honor the fallen.  I encourage all of you to attend Ludlow and support Labor!  There are always rousing speeches about electing candidates that support Labor, meaningful reflection on the sacrifices made in that dusty field so long ago, and a great barbecue.  The Ludlow event starts at 10 am at the Memorial grounds.  Go early if you want a seat under the roof.
