Many new Colorado laws take effect Aug. 6. Here are some you should know about.
From consumer protections, pet sales and adding nuclear energy as a clean energy source to a new state mushroom, dozens of state laws officially go on the books this week.
That’s because in Colorado, bills take effect 90 days after the end of the legislative session, unless lawmakers set a different effective date for them. This year, the 90-day deadline falls on Aug. 6.
