Help Aspen Acre Fire Victims

As you may know, the Aspen Acres Fire has devastated southern Colorado and is one of the largest fires we've ever seen. People have been displaced, evacuations continue, homes have been lost, and the fire has impacted over 91,000 acres.
I'm sharing the note below from Jarod Miner, our Pueblo Dems co-secretary and Southern Colorado Labor Council Vice President, detailing how you can support their membership and first responders. A flyer is also attached for you to share with your friends and networks who either need help or can donate to support these efforts.
Jarod is also cc'd to offer direct support or answer any questions. Thanks in advance for your generosity and help. We will pass along any other opportunities to help our community in southern Colorado.

Southern Colorado Labor Council is collecting information on member needs so that we can be responsive with hotels, food, and basic living assistance. Please use this form to let us know what you members need.
Marisa Lopez is compiling a list of local restaurants offering free meals for evacuees and first responders. Please share this.
SCLC is hosting a benefit fundraiser on Friday, July 10, from 6-8 pm at the United Steelworkers Hall, 1414 E Evans, Pueblo. All funds raised will be used to support union members in need due to the fire. I'll send a letter shortly to request funds from local and state bodies. We're asking for $20-$50 donations online for individuals but would take any amount at the door also. Impacted member households should come at no cost.
