This is not only Flag Day, but also the 250th anniversary of the founding of the US Army.
Unfortunately, the current president has decided to use this solemn occasion to have our country throw him a HUGE birthday party military parade!!
The majority of citizens are against this use of our taxpayer money. Also, Trump's protest suppression tactics have backfired as 'No Kings' events have mushroomed after the militarization of Los Angeles and threats for more of the same and worse!
Rachel Maddow reports on the planning of a massive protest event called "No Kings" scheduled for Saturday, June 14th, overshadowing Donald Trump's theatrical military parade, continuing the grassroots movement of anti-Trump activism.

Many will honor the 250th Anniversary of the Army by participating in events honoring our flag and our military. No Kings Protest is a free speech right of citizens to express their disagreement with the actions of our government. Come together to remind those in DC that we still hold these values, as defined in our Constitution, essential to our democratic way of life. They can take their small, grubby Hands Off! Our Democracy, which our service members have fought for.
50501, Indivisible, Mobilize and many other organizations are teaming up to again call for protests in all 50 states against the Trump administration on June 14th.
Huerfano County residents will be in front of the County Building between 11 and 1.
